Last Few Weeks

The last few weeks have been pretty crazy around our house! 

Memorial Day weekend was great!  I love having 3 day weekends :)  We didn't do too much - laid low!  Highlights do include a BBQ at Kevin & Meghan's (in the midst of a tornado warning) and watching Dad walk in the Brighton Memorial Day parade with the American Legion.  He even took part in the 21 gun salute.

Last weekend, Zack and I had our very first garage sale.  The sale was Friday and Saturday from 9:00 - 4:00.  It was neighborhood wide, so it really encouraged us to actually do it!  We spent the week before prepping our stuff, pricing, etc.  Friday was really, really busy!  The weather was great - low 70's, sunshine and some wind.  We got rid of a lot of our stuff that day and made about $100.  Day 2 was much slower.  It was high 80's and super humid.  I had only made $15 all morning.  At lunchtime, we hadn't had anyone come for about 45 minutes, so I decided to close up shop around 1:00.  We ended up making $130 total and got rid of about 2/3 of our stuff!  Success!!  Sunday was Dad's birthday so we got to hang out at the Tiki Bar for a while and get a boat ride in. It was about 92 that day and sunny - HOT!!!  Then we had a BBQ at Trent & Garrett's.

This week has been torturous - 95 and humid for the last few days - YUCK!
